Rocket came as an evolving process to explore structural forms based on flat materials. Looking at lighting design and objects for the home over the course of a number of years lead me to experimenting with the studio laser cutter to bring some ideas together.

Although not a new subject, careful consideration was taken with the refinement and form of the final rocket. The piece is well balanced in material thickness and shape making for a surprisingly tactile object.

A larger 18mm birch ply version is currently being developed.
