Barky Dog was born from a simple 2D painting of the dog character from early 2000. Years later while clearing out my studio it appeared from behind a stack of old paintings and materials.

I took the basic form and carved the object from high density foam used for manufacturing surf boards. After shaping and sealing the original piece a mold was made from silicone rubber.

The final edition was hand rotocast in urethane resin and hand finished.
